Are they luxury resorts?

Yes, the vast majority of Maldives resorts are of the luxury variety and in particular those with overwater bungalows. Many will indeed be 5 Star.

Are they for adults only?

The majority of the resorts can accommodate families & children though naturally, with the country being synonymous with romantic escapism, most of the clientele will be adults. We found this is far more true for water villas.

Are all-inclusive packages available?

Some resorts with water villas in the Maldives are all-inclusive. And, in terms of quality, we find that many of them are a cut above all-inclusives in other countries.

What are the prices like in 2026?
