Overwater Bungalows in Fiji - An Overview.
The South Pacific certainly isn't short on tropical island paradises but, even judged by those highest of standards, Fiji is really quite special. It offers pristine beaches and coral reefs, lush rain forests, waterfalls, volcanoes, a very interesting fusion of cultures and tremendous hospitality.
Only three resorts in Fiji have overwater bungalows though, and they are: Marriott Momi Bay, Likuliku Lagoon and Koro Sun.
The first, Marriott Momi Bay is on the main island of Viti Levu, very near Nadi and its international airport, as well as the famous WW2 era Momi Gun Site.

Likuliku is on a lovely little island just off the coast of Nadi, with speedboats available to whisk you there in mere minutes.
Koro Sun then is the most remote - on Fiji's less developed second island of Vanua Levu. It requires a short domestic flight to Savusavu but once there the resort's shuttle service can get you to the resort in just 15 minutes.
The first two are luxury resorts, particularly the Marriott Momi Bay, while the latter, Koro Sun, is more mid range and therefore cheaper.
Both Likuliku and Koro Sun have their own nature reserves and offer more of a rustic, back to nature experience while The Marriott is about pure, Epicurean indulgence.
All three resorts have their overwater bungalows section adults only though Koro Sun also offers some family friendly overwater villas.
