Why We Recommend These Water Villas:
All-inclusive resorts can tend to fall short when it comes to real luxury but Ozen Maadhoo is the Maldives’ finest example of how to get it right.
It is a fabulous place: the setting is stunning, as is the accommodation, there is a generous supply of top quality food and drink and, if staying more than 4 nights, complimentary activities to enjoy too – spa treatments, scuba diving, and a meal at the resort’s very special underwater restaurant, just to give you an idea.
All that plus tremendously high levels of service make Ozen All Inclusive excellent value compared to other similar resorts in the Maldives.
Water Villas & Other Accommodation:
You have a choice of classic water villas and beach villas here, ranging in size from 85 m² to 285 m².
They are all doubles, with king-size bed and a sofa bed in the lounge area if needed, with the exception of the large ‘Beach Pool Pavillion‘, which has two bedrooms – a master bedroom and one twin bedroom.
The water villas are a classically romantic choice with direct access to the water and uninterrupted views as far as the eye can see.
They also all have, amongst other luxury features, glass floor panels in the living room and standalone ellipse-shaped bathtubs that open up to the outside via sliding doors.
The standard villas will not disappoint but the ‘Water Villas with Private Pool‘ are the pick of the bunch, having 1205 sq ft/112 sq meters of space and a nice infinity-style plunge pool on the outside deck.
The beachside villas may not have that but they all have a private pool as standard and across the accommodation choices the interior design and decor is crisp and smart with sleek furniture, bright fabrics, and tasteful art pieces.
Modern luxury hotel facilities are standard too with AC, WiFi, flat-screen cable TV, Segafredo coffee machines, and free minibars that are generously restocked twice a day.
The service is top quality at this resort and you will have room service, a private butler, and concierge services throughout your stay.

Food & Drink:
Food can sometimes be an issue at all-inclusive resorts, in terms of quality anyway. But the Ozen deserves plaudits for its consistently good food.
You have a choice of buffet and à la carte international food at The Palms Restaurant, a range of traditional South Asian at IndoCeylon, Chinese at The Peking, and sushi at Raw.
We cannot fail to mention the M6m, the resort’s signature (adults only) seafood restaurant that is entirely underwater and has glass viewing panels to gaze at the sea life outside.
It is a special place, and not just for the unique setting, it also does excellent fine dining with multi-course gourmet set menus for lunch and dinner.
Unlike the other dining choices though, at least a 4-night stay is required to avail of a complimentary meal at M6m.
For drinking there is the lively poolside Joie De Vivre Bar which does cocktails as well as various snacks and small dishes throughout the day and evening.
The Gin Bar has a varied and interesting gin cocktail menu. And they also run cocktail-making classes for guests.
Resort Facilities & Things to Do:
For stays of four nights or more guests are entitled to complimentary scuba diving with some wonderful expeditions where you can explore shipwrecks and swim with gentle (and non-human eating!) whale sharks.
A stay of four nights or more also grants free access to the ELENA Spa & Wellness Complex which offers a wide range of therapies and health & beauty treatments, and it has its own peaceful pool area.
There is a fitness center at the resort and you can also play tennis or go cycling but the main focus here is of course the water.
There is an abundance of water sports, and water experiences, to be enjoyed: things like windsurfing, kayaking, snorkeling, kitesurfing, diving, and much more, as well as dreamy boat trips around the surrounding islands.
Ozen is very family-friendly and children can be more than entertained at the cheerful Kid’s Club which has its own private beach as well as a swimming pool and lots of fun games and activities.
Resort Reviews:
“Everything is exceptional. From the moment you arrive until the last day all the staff spare no effort to make your dreams come true. The villas with pool over the water are something else. You can watch beautiful sunsets and enjoy the view of sea life right at your balcony. The restaurants are excellent and the food is one of a kind. And don’t even let me get started about the M6M, the restaurant under the water, that was an amazing experience. And finally we couldn’t wish for a better butler, Esther was awesome, so ready to help and giving us everything we could possibly need. Congrats OZEN, you’re great…”
“Ozen was paradise on earth. The staff were all so professional and friendly. The all inclusive approach was so relaxing and the quality and variety of food was excellent. Not once were we ever “up sold” anything. We were not bored for one second. The snorkeling excursions were out of this world. The water was literally unimaginable – it was our first time to the Maldives and yes, it MOST definitely lives up to its hype. Ozen was simply magical…”
