The resort’s Deluxe Overwater Lagoon Suites float directly above the tranquil lagoon waters, combining generous indoor living spaces with massive outdoor terraces.
Each suite features a king bed, a heated private plunge pool, open-plan bathrooms with soaking tubs, and indoor/outdoor rain showers.
Overwater guests have a dedicated personal butler service and 24-hour in-room dining.

Dining options are extensive and varied, ranging from Italian-Mexican cuisine at Casa del Lago and Asian-influenced seafood at Agave Azul to casual coastal bites at Aqui Mi Quedo and rustic street food at La Fondita.

Our Verdict
Rosewood Mayakoba is a masterclass in luxury, and offers some of the most unique and suave overwater bungalows in Mexico.
They’re more modern in style than we’d normally see, but extremely chic, stylish, and private.
They overlook the calm inland mangroves rather than facing the open ocean, which some might not prefer, though the tradeoff is you get extra privacy and peace.
They also stray from the traditional thatched roof type overwater bungalow architecture we’ve grown accustomed to. Some may not be fans of that either.
But these are just quibbles. For us, Rosewood Mayakoba is sheer indulgence really; world-class dining and wellness, impeccable service, including private butlers in the overwaters, and an idyllic lagoon setting
