There are no overwater bungalows in The Bahamas itself sadly, as they are specialist buildings which need certain conditions to be structural viable – conditions that are not so easy to find in The Bahamas.
But, by traveling just a little farther south, you will find the Caribbean has plenty of tremendous overwater bungalow resorts – some of the world’s very best in fact.

Sandals Grande St. Lucian’s classic Caribbean overwater bungalows were first introduced to St Lucia back in 2017. They still remain the only overwater bungalows on the island, and with just nine in total, be prepared to book ahead.
