Underwater Suites at Resorts World Sentosa:
Singapore’s only underwater hotel suites, and some of the entire world’s very few, are a major highlight of Resorts World Sentosa, an enormous integrated resort complex just off the country’s south coast which is home to Adventure Cove Waterpark, Universal Studios Singapore and the S.E.A. Aquarium amongst other attractions.
There are 11 of these underwater rooms, or Ocean Suites as they are referred to, by the ‘Open Ocean’ section of the S.E.A. Aquarium, between the Beach Villas and Equarius Hotel.
All of them are broadly similar with an entrance floor at ground level containing a lounge area and an outdoor patio with a small private pool. This upstairs, though very pleasant, is still a very unassuming introduction to the fabulous downstairs section.
There you will find a sleek looking double bedroom with in-room jacuzzi and floor to ceiling windows that look directly into the Open Ocean habitat of the S.E.A. Aquarium – the world’s second largest aquarium and home to a staggering 800 different species of sea creature.
There is a very plush en-suite bathroom alongside too but one which, unlike in similar underwater rooms in Dubai and the Maldives, doesn’t share the same sub-aquatic view.
Guests of the Ocean Suites, as well as having complimentary transport buggies and a 24 hour, personal butler service, are offered many complimentary activities and perks throughout the Resorts complex.

Underwater Dining at Resorts World Sentosa:
To add to its underwater rooms, the hospitality wonderland that is Resorts World Sentosa has had another treat up its sleeve – a pop up semi-underwater restaurant, or Aqua Gastronomy Experience, which ran from September 2020 to February 2021 at the SEA Aquarium.
Guests dined in specially constructed pods, with the sea life circulating around them, and were offered a full, ‘multi-sensory underwater experience.’ Such was the popularity of the project that it is now expected to become a permanent feature once the Covid threat has diminished.
